Community Impact

Ending Youth Gun and Gang Violence

Extending interactive gaming skills and drone pilot knowledge to a whole new generation of young people, whether involved in penal level behaviors or not, provides an amazing opportunity to change the future for so many “diamonds in the rough” often undervalued living in marginalized communities struggling with the stressors of life to do what is right. Working with school detention programs and juvenile reentry programs is an important component of our community policing program.

National Association of Reentry Professionals (NARP)

Our focus on supporting children of incarcerated parents is a result of our partnership with the National Association of Reentry Professionals (NARP), a 501(c)(3) organization. Our community policing program is designed to improve the well-being of these children by promoting positive youth development and strengthening family connections. We work closely with NARP to access their expertise and resources, as well as best practices for addressing the various forms of criminal justice involvement that children and families may encounter, such as parental arrest, probation, and parole. By working together, we can help these resilient children break free from the cycle of generational involvement in the criminal justice system, creating a more compassionate and inclusive community.

Law Enforcement Engagement Objectives

The YCPA program was developed in collaboration with Senior Law Enforcement Leadership and experienced career officials who share the belief that a law enforcement officer’s badge represents a social contract with the community. Our aim is to work with all stakeholders to evolve and positively impact our communities.
